About Pillars Academy

Pillars Academy aims to empower Muslim youth in their faith and identity. This comprehensive program provides a holistic educational experience, incorporating academic knowledge, Islamic values, and traditions. With an emphasis on inclusivity, engagement, and modern teaching methodologies, the program seeks to create a nurturing environment where Muslim youth can freely express their identities, engage in dialogue, and develop critical thinking skills.

We aim to serve the educational needs of our community to achieve the following key objectives:

  1. Foster a strong Islamic identity among students by instilling a sense of pride, understanding, and connection to their faith.
    • We aim to achieve this by teaching our students the pillars of an Islamic identity:
      1. Creed – what we believe and why we believe in it
      2. Divine Ethics – a dynamic framework on how to approach life’s daily challenges and interpersonal interactions
      3. Worship rooted in the Love, Hope, and Fear of Allāh ﷻ – a thorough understanding of Islāmic concepts of the purification of the soul and ritual worship (Ṭahārah, Ṣalāh, etc…)
  2. Provide opportunities for students to develop leadership skills within the context of Islamic values. Through identification, training, and responsibility, students are empowered to take on leadership roles within the school and community such as volunteering at local mosques, organizing charitable events, or engaging in interfaith dialogue, serving as tutors etc…
