Troubleshooting & Quick Fixes
Notifications aren’t arriving (iPhone/iPad)
- Open Settings → Notifications → IALFM → turn on Allow Notifications, then enable Banners and Sounds as desired.
- Open the IALFM app → More → Settings → ensure alerts are enabled inside the app.
- Restart the device, then open the app once to register for push.
Prayer times look out of date
- Pull to refresh on the main prayer times screen.
- Ensure the device has a data connection; the app caches schedules for offline use and updates when new monthly tables are available.
Hijri date is off by a day
- Go to More → Settings → adjust the Hijri offset (±1 day).
- Admins may occasionally push a corrected offset so the community stays aligned.
Announcements badge (red dot) stays on
- Visit the Announcements tab once; the dot clears after viewing the latest post.
- If it persists, force‑quit and reopen the app.
FAQs
Do I need an account to use the app?
No. The app does not require sign‑in and stores only a few non‑identifying preferences on your device (theme, language, Hijri offset).
Who sends announcements and alerts?
Announcements are posted by IALFM admins. Urgent notices may trigger a push alert; you can manage notifications anytime in iOS Settings.
Does the app collect personal data?
No personal or sensitive personal data is collected. See the privacy summary below for details.

- No personal data collected. We do not collect personal CPNI or sensitive personal data.
- On‑device settings only. Theme, language, and Hijri offset are stored locally on your device.
