About IALFM

Membership formally registers your connection to IALFM and supports participation in its governance. Subject to constitutional eligibility, registered dues-paying members may participate in General Body proceedings, vote in Board of Directors elections, and serve the community. Being a regular attendee or donor alone does not establish paid membership.

Article 3.1.2 describes membership for Muslims age 18 or older residing in Denton County (excluding the City of Carrollton), subscribing to IALFM’s purposes and objectives, paying dues, and satisfying the stated registration-duration requirement. A new applicant may begin registration now; qualifying membership and voting eligibility are determined under the Constitution.

Under Article 3.1.4, Individual membership costs $25 annually and Family membership costs $50 annually.

Visit IALFM Central — Become a Member. Enter your email to begin the lookup, complete your details, choose Individual or Family, and pay the current-year dues through the secure payment flow. If the system finds an existing record, review that record rather than creating a duplicate membership.

Open My Membership on Central and sign in with the email associated with your IALFM membership. Central’s membership registration process also starts with an email lookup. If your old record was registered under another email or phone number, contact membership@ialfm.org for help matching it; do not assume an unmatched donor record proves membership.

Use Check or Renew Membership to review and confirm your membership. An existing member whose current year’s membership is verified and who retains the same type should not be charged again for that year. With auto-renewal enabled, the next annual dues are scheduled for January 1 of the following year. A lapsed or unverified membership may require review or payment.

IALFM’s published membership form describes a calendar-year membership, January 1 through December 31. It is not a rolling 12 months from the date of enrollment. For example, a new member who joins December 15 pays for the current calendar year, which ends December 31. The Constitution establishes annual dues but does not itself spell out every calendar-year billing detail.

New members pay the current-year Individual or Family dues when they join. If they opt into automatic renewal, the next annual payment is scheduled for January 1 of the next year. Review the renewal terms presented at checkout before authorizing payment.

Changing from Individual to Family is an upgrade, not a free same-plan renewal. Under the intended Central membership rules, the Family upgrade requires a current-year charge and Family renewal is then scheduled for January 1 of the next year. Confirm the exact amount shown before checkout; the upgrade pricing calculation should be validated by IALFM.

For a verified, current Family member, the intended policy is to retain the already-paid current-year coverage and apply the Individual dues at the next January 1 renewal, without an unnecessary second current-year payment. Check the summary in Central before submitting the change.

Central provides an auto-renewal option for annual membership. Where enabled and successfully set up, the following year’s dues are scheduled for January 1. For changes or cancellation assistance, contact membership@ialfm.org. Enrollment and future charges depend on successful payment setup.

An earlier membership email described advance payment for multiple years. This option has not been confirmed in the current Central membership checkout, so please contact membership@ialfm.org before making a multi-year payment.

No. Article 3 requires at least six months of registration and current dues for the relevant member eligibility rules; membership and voting eligibility are not identical. Eligibility for a particular election or vote is determined using the Constitution and verified membership records.

The Constitution provides a six-month requirement; it does not state June 30 as a universal cutoff. For an election held in early December, someone joining after June 30 would generally not have completed six months by election day. Exact eligibility depends on registration date and the applicable election schedule.

The Constitution lists Family dues but does not expressly assign a fixed number of votes to a Family membership. Voter eligibility should be checked individually under the Constitution and IALFM’s authorized election procedures.

Under Article 3.1.3, registered dues-paying members may participate in General Body proceedings according to the Constitution. Article 10.1.6 permits nonregistered community members to attend as observers.

Board candidates must meet membership requirements and the additional qualifications in Article 7.1, including at least one year in good standing. Six months of membership alone does not establish Board candidacy eligibility.

Article 5.1.4 provides for registered members to request review of specified organizational records, including financial statements, in writing, under the conditions set out there.

IALFM previously offered in-person renewal through MOHID terminals and cash/check membership forms. For the current process, use Central or contact membership@ialfm.org to confirm which in-person payment methods are currently supported. Do not pay again on a legacy terminal without confirming that the payment will be reflected in Central.

No. Donations are valuable support for the masjid, but do not automatically satisfy formal membership registration or the annual dues requirement.
