Our Masjid needs to raise $150,000
to add 880 square feet of space to existing structure
and make other improvements. This space is urgently
needed as we have reached the maximum limit on number
of students that the school can accommodate. We are
also overflowing during Friday prayers and anticipating
overcrowding during Ramadan.
In the past the successful operations of the association
has been possible due to the contributions from the
community. Please help us reach this goal with your
generous tax-deductible
Sadqa Jaaria donations so expansion project can
be completed during the summer.
January 17, 2009 - Update
We have received design drawings from architect. Please
see elevation drawings below. We are in the process
of selecting a contractor. Bidding packet will be ready
by January 23. According to the constitution we need
to get at least 3 bids. We are hoping to finalize contractor
by second week of February.

1st Floor Expansion

The architect has created three different design options
and presented to the Masjid board:
The first option
is the most expensive option and comes in at excess
of $250,000. This option includes all the parking as
well as concrete pavement for all phases of the project.
The second option
adds the extra parking spaces that the city requires,
accommodates the fire-truck turnaround and comes in
around $150,000. This design option requires some amount
of re-work in preparation for the future phases of the
project.
The third option
is the least expensive option up front, but requires
a substantial amount (upwards of $50,000) of rework
in preparation for the future phases of the project
In light of the construction funding that is currently
available to the Masjid and the projected needs of the
community over the next 5 years, the board, in conjunction
with the construction committee has opted to choose
design option #2 to proceed.
